Olivia Williams, a sophomore at Acalanes High in California, placed 17th overall at the Eastbay Cross Country Championships at Balboa Park's Morley Field in San Diego. Williams covered the 5-kilometer course in 17:55.1, as the first athlete in program history to compete in a national final. Williams was also the top sophomore girls competitor in the field.
